What is the All Night Grad Party?
The All Night Grad Party is a fun-filled night which is a gift to our graduating seniors from Hastings parents and the Hastings community. Our goal is to create a memorable way for our graduates to celebrate this huge milestone in a safe, drug dand alcohol free environment.
When and where is the party held?
The Grad Party is an all night lock-in and is held on the night of graduation. The party starts at 10:30 pm and ends about 5:30 am. The party is held at Hastings High School.
Do new graduates really go to this party?
Absolutely! Typically between 80-90% of Hastings graduating seniors attend the party. There's no better place to be on the night of graduation!
How do I get a ticket? How much does a ticket cost?
There are two ways to get a ticket. They can be purchased at the student office throughout the school year by cash or check, or they can be purchased online here. Ticket prices can be found by clicking here. Checks should be made out to "Hastings ANGP"
Are there ticket scholarships available?
Yes. If you find it difficult to pay the ticket price, partial and full scholarships are available. Please see Assistant Principal Kris Husaby to complete an application. The application form can also be found on our ticket page.
What activities will be at the party?
There's always a few surprises in store, but Grads can look forward to:
- Games in the commons and gym
- Karaoke and DJ
- Free food and drinks
- Caricaturist or Photo Booth
- Tons of prizes
- Big ticket raffle items
There is quite literally, something for everyone!
Who organizes the party?
The Grad Party is organized by a dedicated group of Hastings parents who head up the specific committees. Planning begins in October! It's a big job, but fun! Please e-mail the current chairman if you are interested in becoming a member of the planning committee. Parents of underclassmen are especially needed!
Who pays for the party?
The party is funded every year by donations from businesses and individuals who support this important event, fundraisers held throughout the year, and ticket sales. We receive no money from the school district, and are not officially sponsored by Hastings High School. We are our own 501(c)(3) organization, which means your donation is tax deductible! What are the rules about attending?
What are Senior Posters?
Most grads who attend the ANGP make posters which are displayed in the lower level gym hallway during the party. The posters range from family memories, to school photos, to friends and activities...whatever you choose. They are typically 20X30 and may be as simple or elaborate as you wish. After the party, the posters will be sent home with the graduates to use at their own grad party! It is not mandatory to make a senior poster. How can parents get involved?
This party could literally not happen without a HUGE group of parent volunteers. It's fun! We have a job for everyone - during the school year, during the week of graduation, during graduation day, and of course, at the party. PLEASE VOLUNTEER! We need you! And not just parents of seniors - we needs parents of underclassmen as well. Ask your friends - they'll tell you it's a blast! Click here to volunteer
Can I leave at any time?
Sorry, this party is a lock-in and we must have prior written permission from a parent in order for a Grad to leave the party early. Don't worry though - once you're at the party, you won't want to leave!
Do I need to bring anything?
Dress comfortably and be ready to have a blast! You will receive some pretend "Raider Cash" when you get to the party, and you will earn more cash playing games which you will then use to purchase prizes. You will not need any "real" money at the party. All food, drinks, and fun is free!
